Rebecca is running for Oregon State Representative, District 31

Rebecca is a wife and mother, a lawyer, a farmer, a gardener, and an animal lover. She is the third generation to live on her farm in the 31st District. She does not strongly identify with a particular party, but she does strongly identify with particular beliefs. Namely that we may be rich in land but not necessarily money. We should be able to use our land in a way that can benefit our families as long as we also pay attention to, and recognize that the reason we live where we do is because of the natural beauty. This beauty and wildness must also be preserved.
She believes we are a diverse nation with diverse people and beliefs. When we are not told who to hate and fear, and we actually communicate with each other, we discover we are not so different. We all want prosperity and safety for our family and community. We all want food security, and housing that is safe and stable. We all want to be able to go to the doctor when we need one, and to not be afraid that the next illness or accident or unexpected home repair could be the one that bankrupts us.
If I am elected, I will focus on issues, not on whether the democrats or the republicans support the legislation. I will talk to the people in the district, and represent their values and beliefs.
Rebecca graduated from the prestigious Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 2000. She worked at the District Attorney's office as a prosecutor for nine years prior to leaving and opening her own practice. She has been handling adult and juvenile cases, both as a Deputy District Attorney and then as a defense attorney, since 1999.
For a decade, she was the administrator of the consortia handling juvenile cases in Clackamas County. She acted as a mentor and supervisor for newer attorneys wishing to practice juvenile law. If there is an attorney practicing Juvenile law in Clackamas County, there is a very good chance that attorney either used to work for Rebecca or was mentored by Rebecca.
Just as she does in the courtroom, Rebecca will stand in front of you and be your shield if you are tired and need someone else to take up your banner. She will employ the same level of zealous advocacy as a State Representative of the 31st District.
